IT'S SO SIMPLE:
- PLACE THE FOOD INTO A PLASTIC BAG OR GLASS CONTAINER
- SHAKE THE MARINADE TO INFUSE THE FLAVORS
- POUR IT OVER THE FOOD UNTIL COVERED
- SEAL THE CONTAINER AND REFRIGERATE FOR 30 MIN OR MORE
- REMOVE FROM CONATINER AND COOK USING YOUR PREFERRED METHOD
WHILE YOU ARE WAITING FOR THE MARINADE TO INFUSE YOU CAN COOK THE ADDITONS TO THE MEAL
Italian Marinated Pork Chop porterhouse
Ingredients
- For the Pork Chops:
- 4 bone-in pork chop porterhouses (about 1 inch thick)-can also use boneless
- 12fl oz Statesmen 30 Minute Marinade Italian Steakhouse
- For the Sautéed Spinach:
- 4 cups fresh spinach
- 2 cloves garlic, sliced thin
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 fresh lemon
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: Grated Parmesan cheese for serving
- Marinate the Pork Chops:
- In a shallow dish or resealable bag, combine the pork chops and Statesmen 30 Minute Marinade.
- Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours for more flavor).
- Preheat the Grill or Skillet:
- If grilling, preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using a skillet, heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook the Pork Chops:
- Remove the pork chops from the marinade-save the marinade
- Grill or sear the chops for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). Let them rest for a few minutes after cooking.
- Sauté the Spinach:
- While the pork chops are resting, heat the olive oil in the same skillet used for the pork (if using) over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the fresh spinach and cook until wilted, about 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. remove from skillet.
- pan sauce(optional):
- In the same skillet add 4fl oz of the used marinade and 3oz of water to the pan bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally.
- while simmering, in a separate bowl combine 2 tbs corn starch and 2 tbs water.
- turn off the heat to the skillet and add the corn starch slurry to the skillet slowly, constantly stirring as you add. This will thicken your sauce.
- Serve:
- Plate the pork chops alongside the sautéed spinach. top with pan sauce
- Optional: Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the spinach for added flavor.
